Critics were lambasting madrid for negative tactics even after having a star studded team but when you see the importance of the game and the expectation on the shoulders of jose it was practically not possible to play an open game...sometimes you don't need to play nice to win ...all you need is a way to churn out results...that perhaps i feel is missing in arsenal these days...they have all the youth all the talent but they sometimes look too naive to churn out a result...wriggle their way to victory.... it feels bad seeing the potential going waste ...those same old mistakes ,the same old accusations....on the contrary manu etc have the grit to win on their not so great days with a goal from some 50 year old loser with ball deflecting from his ass in a melee of players and going into the goal....i mean these type of lucky wins don't fall in our pocket...sometimes it feels we are hard done by but then you realize last year also felt this way...it gets on your nerve...
Anyhow...another thing that arsenal have been criticized for is poaching up of young players and just taking the credit...i honestly don't give a shit if arsenal is dubbed the real madrid (or perhaps manchester city seeing the current scenario)of youth players and their transfers....its simple maths we give chance to youth and that attracts them to arsenal...this perhaps is the reason why the epic saga of fabregas going back to barcelona is always the first issue amongst the catalans...they want their child back...he has the barca dna...all bull crap where the hell did they get messi from?? barcelona??? nah...the guy who's the biggest difference in their team isn't even a catalan...and then they say arsenal poached fabregas.....
sometimes it feels that its hard to replace the marquee players...personally i was gutted when henry left arsenal and was even more shocked when wenger gave his jersey to walcott...a teenage lad gets titi's jersey?...but it was not that bad afterwards...similarly i feel cesc has served arsenal well and IF THEY ARE WILLING TO SPEND SOME HEFTY MONEY...we should let him go....i mean there is a certain time till which a person can continue away from his native ...moreover he has hardly played at a stretch for two three seasons...injuries have marred him and his influence is diminshing perhaps..and with the coming of wilshere and nasri in the thick of action we are still equipped in centre midfield...
Meanwhile wenger has been the man coming under the cosh for his so to say stubbornness....the supporters are a fickle breed i'd say...sometimes even i feel dilusional about the subject but i remember this lovely song and at the end we all need to keep the faith
