on the eve of the cricket world cup final it feels nice and fresh no jitters whatsoever ...with India in the final and for the first time not letting the supporters down..because time and time again whenever we were piped as the contender we humbly declined and let others take a go at the trophy..this time around like every "this time around' seems different...with all the tricks and totkas of the household everyone feels it that way....i've this friend who has to watch the game with parents otherwise india will lose..another friend watches just the indian batting and that does the trick for team india..i've this belief myself that whenever i hear hindi commentary wickets fall and when i hear english commentary runs start to flow.. these things seems hard to erase...but so far so good
The game is not accepted as a game ...a duel needs to conjured...whether it maybe ind vs pak or now ram vs ravan...lanka dahan and the sundries....why??...it doesn't give an extra edge but deflates the competition...with all those fwded msgs it makes it even worse..you recognize these things afterward and the not the moments of magic on the field...ind pakistan match was great despite all the hype and politicos and celeb hovering over the game... it showed Indian batting being leashed up for the first time in the tournament by a very efficient Pakistani spin attack ,i mean we are regarded as great players of spin but we were lackluster and then when the argument did arise in post match analysis mr. sidhu pissed all over it and changed the whole conversation by taking a dig at simon hughes and england rather than just taking it on his chin and addressing the issue the dumbfuck went on with his thing..i.e. saying loud moronic one liners and crap all around the studio... what's being patented as shit-uism...i fail to understand how a man who was once so hopeless in communication,the guy who left his team mid tour in england due to lack of communication with his captain that time,the guy who couldn't communicate in the fields with the ball and left it on its path time and time again ,can blabber like this in front of a camera....the worst part is that there is no realization ...the guy feels he's educating everyone else...i wish we could find some unbiased commentators who will tell us what's there and not only the part we all want to hear...
on the subject of commentator bashing ...it seems ravi shastri's been too much of a hypochondriac or perhaps he's been seeing too many doctors because all that comes out of his mouth is "and that's what the doctor ordered!!"...such a lame catchphrase ...
watched this video...a nice msg to both set of supporters...i mean you can't let all that has happened overpower the sports and the sportsmen
p.s.hear this guy constantly pricking afridi through the video saying five zero... but afridi ignores him throughout...i'd loved it even more if he didn't kept on looking down ...well the intentions were noble and heartfelt but i'm too critical
